As a child I have wonderful memories of my mothers cooking,the warmth in Winter and aromas of my mothers cooking.
Those were the days when money was short but still we had wonderful meals made from fresh ingredients, nourishing,filling.
I learned many of my cooking skills from my mother, bless her. Many of my best recipes come from ingredients thrown together, re-heated,re-vamped.
Many come from recipes new and old.
I became an avid collector of cookbooks.
As is the way of life times change, and now I can spend a happy amount of time perusing the Internet and it's gazillions of cooking sites and recipes.
In all of this it has been important to me to have the right cooking appliances and utensils. I remember when it was mostly saucepans, a frying pan and wow now I am showing my age.
So my mission in starting this Foodie World blog is to help you also find out what is new in the world of cooking and it's appliances and utensils.
